| Ok, ok fine I'm back. Actually it's because I'm supposed to be studying immuno and renal physiology which as you can guess, is so much fun and joy. The plan this semester is to try to do a little work every day so that I stay pretty much on top of my stuff, don't have all hell break out finals week, and still have time to party the rest of first year away. I got that last part going on - EVERY single weekend night (except one when I was having a crappy day), a couple weekday nights... I'm not so much on top of my stuff, but I'm trying, what can I say.
Got a lot more classes this block, spending a lot more time in that stupid auditorium falling asleep "listening" to people, but it's still good times and good people. Besides, there's still enough time to skip class to go play in the little st louis snow we have, sit and daydream, listen to maroon 5, talk about useless stuff with mary, go out to celebrate people's birthdays every week... all that good stuff
Have been spending waaaay too much time doing extracurriculars, maybe that's why school work's on the slow side. Spent a ton of time and energy putting together FLIPSIDE: Subtitles of Caduceus - Wash U's first med student and faculty talent show in a while. Had a great time putting it together, a lot of stress organizing, but the final night turned out really well and we ended up raising around $850 to kick off our medical equipment recylcing program. Hopefully we can also make a little more when the videos from the night get edited and made into a CD... Also in the middle of organizing singing valentines for charity, even though like lyds, I'm anti-valentine's day, but it'll be fun to drag people up on stage and embarrass the hell out of them.
alright back to T cell function. woo hooooooo!! |
